Zero tolerance

Around Town does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. If you see it, report it. You can also block the person so their content disappears from your feed immediately.

What we do not allow

Hate, harassment, threats, bullying, sexual content involving children, graphic sexual content, scams, impersonation, and any content that is illegal in the United Kingdom are forbidden. There is no warning required for serious abuse.

Reporting and blocking

Use Report on a post to flag it for the Around Town team. After you report, you can also block that person. Blocking hides all of their posts, comments and marketplace listings from you, and creates a support case so we are told.

You can also block someone from their member profile. Blocking is instant for you. We review reports and can remove content, mute, suspend or permanently delete accounts.

What happens if you break the rules

We may remove the content, issue a warning, temporarily suspend your account, or permanently delete it. Serious or repeated abuse can lead to an immediate permanent ban. Deleted accounts cannot sign back in.
